Dear Friends,
In the midst of this political season, it is all too common for people to tell you what they are AGAINST which I find sad. When you talk about what you’re against, you tend to create barriers but when you share with me what you are for – now can form common ground and move forward to long term solutions!
Health is like this in a very similar way. If we are always chasing or fighting against symptoms, we aren’t focusing on solutions. It is a very painful and expensive way to administer healthcare.
When you focus on your pain or your limitations you are not placing your energy toward health and healing but masking deeper lying issues. For example, a patient last week stated they had some hip pain. I asked the patient to remove his shoes. His reply was “I said it was my hip”. I explained that his flat feet where causing his knee to collapse in and torqueing his hip out of alignment so treating his hip alone would not be treating the source of the issue.
My goal for you is to look at your health and not at your sickness. When someone says I can’t walk 3 miles like I used to; Ok but can you walk a half mile? Yes? Ok maybe slower- but you can walk. Let’s not think about what we can’t do let’s put our energy with what we can do and build from there.
Take a look at your health and tell me what you are for, then we can put together an action plan to get you there. Remember YOU BECOME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ALL DAY LONG!
