I had a pregnant mom in a few months ago and asked her if she intended on breast feeding her newborn child when she gave birth. Her response was “ugh that is so unnatural.”

I audibly laughed and replied, “Actually that is like the definition of natural!” It is actually one of the most incredible parts of motherhood/humanity. That everything the baby needs is in that mother’s milk. Not only that, but they are finding there are receptors on the mother that tailors the milk to what the baby needs as specific times. WHAT?!

Yes natural is a miracle.

Now there are some situations that do not allow for nursing to happen and there are many different ways to support the formula so that baby is better off.

We suggest all mom’s while pregnant use a Folic Acid and a fish oil that is high in the omega 3 fatty acid DHADHA makes up 40% percent of the dry weight of the brain. All the studies that have been done show that it makes the baby smarter.

So happy Mother’s Day to all Mom’s out there. You are the ground zero for all humanity. Obviously, the most important of the two parents —have you ever seen a pro athlete wave to the camera and say “Hi Dad”?  NOPE : ) Always “Hi MOM!”
